Application of Operant Procedures to Investigate Novel (Non) Psychedelics & Treatments for OCD
4:45 pm
- The operant platform developed over the last 15 years at Transpharmation provides a suite of assay services designed to measure multiple facets of rodent behaviour, including: attention, working memory, impulsive action, impulsive choice, compulsive action, anxiety, motivation, executive function, drug interoceptive cues. This capability is supported by over 20 peer reviewed publications
- Together with expert scientific technical support, the overall aim of this service is to provide forward translational value to assist the transition of NCE’s from the preclinical to clinical phase
- Two examples will be presented incorporating data with relevant benchmark drugs:
- Application of drug discrimination techniques to distinguish between known psychedelics and purported non-psychedelic NCE’s
- Application of tests of attention and impulse control to characterise potential treatments for ADHD
